Have a second to be astonished...oh, and inspired?

Well, actually a few minutes - but who doesn't like to be astonished?

Enjoy!

...update: and for the inspiration part: Michael Tilson Thomas, music director of the San Francisco Symphony, writes about his friend and mentor, Leonard Berstein, in today's NY Times. It's a fascinating read and a real glimpse into the persona that was "Lenny". Again, ENJOY!

Nature is very twisted sometimes, this clip is a sort of poetic justice...

I've always wondered how an early person can manage to be an artist with all these night performances...

"There was never any question of what he believed, what he championed. It was the joy of music. He lived it."...Definitely!! Wonderful article, I'm just back from the Bastille where I saw New York City Ballet's last performance in Paris of "West Side Story Suite", this link comes just at the right time! Jerome Robbins + Leonard Berstein + a shining company, they just put the house on fire:-))
All best and thanks for sharing your readings with us!
