Gratitude - Day 131

A question that often pops up in conversation with various people is, "How do you stay so grounded with everything that's happened to you?"

Well. This should pretty much sum it up. This kind of thing happens to me ALL the time, so even if I took the opportunity, every ONCE in a while to feel the least bit grand, the universe pretty much slaps me right back down - so it all evens out.

I'm singing in a truly lovely theater right now - a theater where they know me - I've performed here twice before to pretty decent acclaim. And yet, apparently they know me as "Joyde". I'm not complaining - I'm just saying....

After all, I'm grateful for the chance to smile a little bit!

LOL @ Joyde!
AND so you've earned yourself a new nickname :)

We'll get the chance to listen to your Idomeneo early next year in Paris. Now we can patiently wait for your "Furore!" (album and the concert at Pleyel), PLUS Beatrice & Benedict with C.Davis at TCE.

Hope you're having fun in Madrid (which I'm not crazy about, but boy do I LOVE Barcelona! :)

They kept JOY... and that's the best part!! Take care :-))

It seems a typo... Look at the position of the c, d and e keys in a qwerty keyboard...

PS: Joyde looks weird to me...

Well, it's my official Spanish name, now, so I'm embracing it!!! ;-))

CHEERS!

(and yes, Larissa - I think it's correct elsewhere, but this way I can stand in my dressing room doorway and scream, "DRESSER!!! MY NAME IS SPELLED WRONG!!! I'LL BE IN MY TRAILER!!!")

Oh, but they did spell your surname right! That's what seems weird to me. Okay, it's all in capital letters so it was easy, but anyway LOL

I've seen it spelled 'Didonato' (this one is the most common), 'di Donato' (second best), 'diDonato' and even 'di donato' (I guess that was out of laziness lol). Where does the spelling come from? I've always wondered about it!

Lots of love from Ibiza, way too far away from Madrid :(,
